BERLIN, Germany (CNN) -- The world needs a "global New Deal" to haul it out of the economic crisis it faces, Prime Minister Gordon Brown of the United Kingdom said Sunday.
Gordon Brown addresses a press conference following a G20 preparatory meeting in Berlin, Sunday.
"We need a global New Deal -- a grand bargain between the countries and continents of this world -- so that the world economy can not only recover but... so the banking system can be based on... best principles," he said, referring to the 1930s American plan to fight the Great Depression.
Brown was speaking as the leaders of Europe's biggest economies met to try to forge a common position on the global financial crisis ahead of a major summit in London in April.
French President Nicolas Sarkozy said the world's response to the global financial meltdown had to be profound and long-lasting, not just tinkering around the edges.
"Europe wants to see an overhaul of the system. We all agree on that. We're not talking about superficial measures now or transitional measures -- we're talking about structural measure, which need to be taken," he said.
German Chancellor Angela Merkel, the host of the meeting, urged nations of the world to work together to fight the problem.
"Confidence can only be restored if people in our countries feel that we are pulling in the same direction and have understood that we really must learn lessons from this crisis," she said.
And she proposed that a new institution grow out of the crisis, "which will take on more responsibility for global [financial] mechanisms."
The Europeans say they have agreed international financial markets must be regulated more thoroughly. That also means stricter rules for hedge funds and credit-rating agencies.
European and world leaders have been holding frequent summits as they struggle to cope with a financial crisis that has affected banks, homeowners, businesses and employees around the world.
London will host a meeting of the Group of 20 nations in April. The G-20 includes the G-7 leading industrialized nations -- Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom and the United States -- as well as the world's largest developing economies: Argentina, Australia, Brazil, China, India, Indonesia, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, South Korea and Turkey, plus the European Union.
The managing director of the International Monetary Fund and the president of the World Bank, plus the chairs of the International Monetary and Financial Committee and Development Committee of the IMF and World Bank, also participate in G-20 meetings.

I would not trust anything that the UK leaders are saying... it is the world center for the Illuminati. They want a global electronic banking system put into place, so of course they would say we need a so called ' new deal"...
what they actually mean is more new world order control. This is just more of them trying to use the financial crises to justify a new world order global government.

Yes the Nesara thing is a hoax but what you don't know it has nothing to do with money, The real Nesara has alot to do of the sharing of resources, mainly energy. Soon alot of us are going to have free energy and will be on an alternative fuel. So yes Nesara is real not like how we thought it was going to be. People don't need money they need homes, energy, water, food, and all the basic needs. This is Nesara

If you would really look into it, you would see that the ORIGINAL NESARA is REAL — although it NEVER was passed nor did it gain ANY major political attention. It emanated from Dr. Harvey Barnard who has been trying to get such attention, to no avail.
The NESARA often debated here and so much talked about on Internet forums in love with conspiracy theories is the scam created by Shaini Goodwin (aka Dove Of Oneness) — the one I was referring to in my previous post.
Thus, your claim makes no sense at all, though your high hopes for it are definitely palpable.

How is this does not make sense to you. Ofcourse i know it's real but were not going to hear some announcement or we aren't going to hear about it. I've been studying the Mayan Prophecies and i took a 9 hour class on almost every topic from Et's to bigfoot, mayan prophecies, conspiracies and more, from a guy called Randy Hastings, which he is alot like David Wilcock. Anyway What i meant was Nesara is real in a sense of the fair sharing of Resources which we are moving into soon. It has nothing to do with money, this system is collapsing and will continue to collapse before our eyes. The new system is coming up through. Of course the Economy will get better for a little while maybe for a year but then totally collapse so fast that we will really have to change drastically to adapt. Not that this is a bad thing. Like i said the fair sharing of resources will be happening soon. This is Nesara manifesting over the next years.
Sorry for your disappointment in believing that every man and child getting Thousands of dollars is really going to happen. I don't believe in that, i do have alot of hope and i know the future is getting better but we create our future and we make things happen.
So how's come they have been saying oh nesara is going to happen next week and then the next week that has been going on for years. Then all these excuses why it hasn't been announced yet.
