Aspartame is a molecule of three ingredients, aspartic acid, (40%), an excitotoxin, a methyl ester which immediately becomes methanol (10%), and phenylalanine (50%) which as an isolate is a neurotoxin, goes directly into the brain, lowering the seizure threshold and depleting serotonin.
