Bottled water is one of the greatest marketing scams of the modern age. Take PepsiCo’s Aquafina brand, for example. Just by including a picture of mountains on the label, we are led to believe that this water originates from a natural drinking source. It’s essentially the same tactic that is used by several companies who bottle and sell water to the masses, as well as by food manufacturers who wish us to believe their products are ‘natural.’
Pepsico recently admitted that Aquafina is really just tap water, so ask yourself, why do we pay 2,000x the price of tap for it?

I expected some fireworks. I didn’t expect the television to blow up.
The X-Files returned to network television for a six episode miniseries. The show was created by Chris Carter, which originally aired for nine seasons from 1993 to 2002 on the Fox network. The series premiered simultaneously in Canada and the USA on Sunday, January 24, 2016.
During its run, the science fiction/horror show dealt with a multitude of conspiracies, including a U.S. government coverup of extraterrestrial visitation and the phenomenon of alien abduction. For good or ill, no other program has been more influential in raising the public consciousness on the topic of UFOs and exopolitics.

Beijing has spent billions developing GMO crops in the hopes of securing food for its burgeoning population, but there has not yet been approval for the commercial cultivation of these crops, partly due to a deep-seated distrust of genetically modified crops by the Chinese public. Nonetheless, GM corn is already growing in China illegally, causing further distrust in the government’s ability to regulate GM crops.
In Northeast China farmers are already growing GM corn, and these crops can easily contaminate others which are not genetically modified. This is one of the many concerns the Chinese have concerning biotech seed. Having lived in the mountains for pretty much my entire life, I’ve gotten to see my fair share of wildlife. Everything from bears to mountain lions to elk to deer, I’ve seen wandering on the roads or lost in the city somewhere.
Deer and elk are especially prominent in the area I live now, where it’s not uncommon whatsoever to see an entire family of elk sitting on the side of the road. So, naturally, my commutes everyday are full of anxiety and worry that I’ll strike one of these animals, killing one and or both of us.
