There was actually a pole done by National Geographic that asked people how they would respond to Extra-Terrestrial Life and actually 72% said that they would be optimistic and hopeful about it, and that pole was done in 2005, and I believe it has gone up since then. But whether or not some people are more ready than others or not is something that is going to be dealt with because this(Disclosure) is something that needs to happen and I think that the people making it happen have planned and thought it out pretty thoroughly because of how big of an announcement it is. Just something to think about. Namaste
