The Cove is a documentary that exposes the slaughter of more than 20,000 dolphins and porpoises in Taiji, Japan every year, and how their meat, containing toxic levels of mercury, is being sold as food in Japan and other parts of Asia, often labeled as whale meat. The majority of the world is not aware this is happening as the Taiji cove is blocked off from the public. The focus of the Social Action Campaign for The Cove is to create worldwide awareness of this annual practice as well as the dangers of eating seafood contaminated with mercury and to pressure those in power to put an end to the slaughter. This looks like an amazing documentary, I'll definitely check it out. Much respect goes out there to people like these, who care about something so much that they actually get their hands dirty and do something about it. IMO that's what separates a self-righteous complainer and a person who sincerely wants to make a difference in the world.

So tranceman, you seem pretty passionate about these atrocities. Any plans to put this energy into hands-on action? I'm sure if you got the ball rolling, many would be inspired to join you!

sorry, your right. Believe me i am concerned about the slaughter that is going on there. Despite the quote, i actually thought that episode was quite sick, but it did spread awareness.
I heard a Sirian teaching once where they said that if humans wipe out the magnificent species that are dolphins and whales, then the human race would not really have a place in the galaxy.

My apologies for my spontaneous quote, and i do hope too that the madness stops.
