This is unbelivable!

It's not a protest...is purely for looting and for the evilness of it! It makes me sick!

They are even setting fire in people's homes! Mostly are teenagers that know nothing will be done against them...

Even in my neighbourhood, that is one of the 'safest' in London there was some disturbance tonight.

Well said paTricia!  These kids have nothing, well i didnt have a bloody iphone or blackberry whilst growing up, poor them!  seeing these troubled kids has made me proud of how my kids are today i have taught them respect and manners and to treat others how they would like to be treated. Im mad as hell yet the thought of burning and smashing other peoples belongings is shocking!

they are just looting and destroying now for the sake of it, because they know the police are stretched, the prisons are full, and they feel like they can get away with it now.

The general public is in a state of shock and wtf!

There seems to be a contrast in the thoughts of the public, those who say hang em high, and others or say its cos of hard times... i think both are factors.

I was all for protests, but not like this. At least the students had a worthy cause, sure stuff got broke but their message was clear, but what is happening now is truly disgusting, with no cause or message.

My worry is for how long this might go on for, and ultimately what the repercussions of this will be. Im not looking forward to going into Manchester tomorrow to see first hand for my self, ive got a feeling i wont like what i see.

 

How far do they need to go now to stop this?

Under the circumstances, martial law may be called for...I would never condone martial law against the general public, but these criminals aren't really considered general public...they have waved that right imo.

Plastic bullets and bean bag guns may be useful right about now i think. I know thats kinda dark, but i really feel that they need something to put them in their place. I had always wondered if this could happen, Chav truly running riot.......

 

Ultimately, i do feel that as hard as this is on us all, it is a necessary event in the big picture of it all, what happens this week could be a major turning point.

I do believe that money, or lack of, and subsequently a poor upbringing for these young adults is the driving force in this. People are at there limits, we all know that.

Dear Trudy...yes I live in London. Today I went to my local High Street  where half the shops were closed where the police was telling everyone to go home.

You have no idea what these thugs are. I wish you could come and see. It's low life.

I'm wide awake Trudy. I know the difference between fight for change and pure evilness, because I can feel it.

These riots, at this moment, have nothing to do with awakening, with change. These are not rebels fighting for a better world; they don't care about anyone else but themselves!
