Respect
I've been told before I'm supposed to respect everyone's beliefs. You know what? I don't. Should I respect the belief that some races are superior to others? Should I respect beliefs that divide people, spread hate and promote fear? Now, I have the deepest respect for every Human Being on this Planet, but I can't respect a belief that disrespects Life itself. Is it disrespectful of me to not tolerate intolerance?
Take religion, another belief I'm supposed to be respectful of. Yet it's divided people like almost nothing else. I don't think there's a single belief system responsible for more death, destruction and hatred. And I'm supposed to be respectful of religion? I can't be tolerant of religion and be respectful of peace and human life. That would be like promoting peace while saying war is still okay. I want everyone to be united in Love, that can't happen while things like religion still divide people in fear.
Many people view a spiritual person as someone who is tolerant of everything. That's a recipe for complacency and ignorance, not spirituality. Gandhi didn't put up with injustice, he spoke out against it, and so did Jesus, Mohammad and every other person who really stood up for God and Love. You can't respect disrespect, otherwise you're promoting the intolerance as well. And there's no contradiction here, tolerating intolerance is promoting intolerance, not being tolerant. Any institution, any belief, any system that divides deserves no respect as these things spread the very opposite of what respect is. Any person who truly believes in Love should be speaking out very passionately against these things that spread ignorance and fear.
Love,
Will, Mother & Father God
