Gaiafield Earth Treasure Vase
Dedicated for a WiseUSA
Will be buried in Kansas June 29
Please join us in spirit!
Dear friends,
I am writing this from the home of a dear friend in Santa Fe, New Mexico. I just returned from a Lakota Sun Dance ceremony and am quite speechless about that experience other than to say it was a very deep honor to be a part of. With Leslie Meehan and Cynthia Jurs of our Gaiafield Wisdom Council, I am about to drive to Kansas to participate in another ceremony, this one involving the burial of the Gaiafield Earth Treasure Vase.
Inspired by an ancient Tibetan Buddhist tradition, the Earth Treasure Vase Global Healing Project brings healing and protection to the Earth by filling consecrated clay vessels with prayers and offerings, and ceremonially burying them in the Earth in collaboration with indigenous elders, young activists and grassroots leaders in places where healing and protection are most needed around the planet. More than 30 Earth Treasure Vases have been buried in sites all around the world.
For the past three years the Gaiafield Council has been the stewards of our own Earth Treasure Vase (pictured above). In that time it has been gathering prayers and blessings from countless ceremonies, including most recently the Sun Dance event I just attended. It is now time to bury it in the Earth.
We chose Kansas as the burial place because it is located in the very heart of the USA. Although the Gaiafield Project has a global focus, we are concentrating our energies this year on calling forth a Wise USA for the benefit of all life on Earth. The burial of our vase will be dedicated to that purpose.
Last night, Cynthia Jurs (the founder of the Earth Treasure Vase project) hosted us for a very moving ceremony at her house in Santa Fe. Here is a photo from that wonderful event.
The ceremonial burial will take place on Wednesday morning June 29 (US Pacific). We humbly but sincerely ask that you please join us in prayer and meditation at that time to lend your support to this endeavor.
Our intention is summed up in our 'WiseUSA Declaration':
We the people,
Call forth the deepest wisdom,
The greatest joy,
And the highest compassion
From the heart and soul of America
For the benefit of all life on Earth
And the next seven generations.
May wisdom, joy, and compassion prevail in the United States of America.
Thank you so much for whatever help you can provide in supporting this intention with your prayers and blessings.
Blessings of Peace,
David, for the Gaiafield Council.
