Definition of the veil.

Hi everyone.

    When we look around here and everywhere else, I think most of us have read or heard that there is a veil, and that it is to be lifted soon. 

     My question is, what is this veil exactly?  And I ask because that is one thing no one is actually defining.  They talk about it, they find a lot of ways to tell us that there is indeed a veil and of course that it is being lifted. But no one seems to have sat down and defined exactly what the veil is.

     Is it a physical or biological aspect of us?  Does it have a very tangible definition, a rule of some kind that if you are living in 3rd density you must somehow be veiled?  What would we be like if we weren't under the limitations of the veil?

     Is it a veil of limitation between our intentions and their manifestation, is it a veil blocking that side of our soul? what reason would it have to be there?  Does it have to do with how energies flow in us and how we flow with the energies?

     Is it something in the sky stopping us from seeing what is really out there with our bare eyes?  Is it something purely spiritual, a level that must be reached, are they removing the veil or are we growing past the limits of the veil?  What was it originally intended for when it was originally brought forth?  Is that classic definition still valid today or did it change perhaps because of the way we have grown?

     I would appreciate any input you might have about what exactly the veil is.  Maybe with more than one vision we can formulate a more complete picture of what it is and in that case.

For me 'the veil' is a metaphor for what (whatever or whoever it is) is hiding the TRUTH.
