How many planes, or even helicopters have you seen do this? I thought so ;). Any ideas guys?

 

Since I was young, I was always fascinated by aviation, civil and military, I have databases of those which i've collected since way back when, none have this kind of maneuverability.  though I'm not a pro, just a long time avid amateur. :)

I have a few issues with the plane theory. :)

1. The acceleration seems to start when the object appears in the scene.

2. The object doesn't seem to be executing a banking manoeuver as it's turning as you'd expect a plane to do.
3. Where are the beacon lights on the plane, the green/red and white flashing lights?  
4. The actual path of the object would be much more curvy, accellerated or not especially since the object, if a plane, doesn't seem to be a small model.

its a plane! its a time lapse video, which means its spead up, thats why the moon moves up and right.

Very interesting... At this point in time, it could be anything; but I agree with Christina that it doesn't feel natural.
