British toddler has Einstein IQ

At four months, he was saying "Mama" and "Dada." At nine months, he said his first real word, "tree," as he was pointing at the Christmas tree. And then at 18 months Oscar Wrigley was recounting the story of how the Romans built the Temple Of Claudius, according to the BBC.

A toddler from Berkshire, England, is the youngest British boy to join high IQ society Mensa.

When Oscar Wrigley, two and a half years old, was tested on his vocabulary and numeracy, he was told his IQ was akin to that of Einstein and the physicist Stephen Hawking, the Telegraph reported.

Oscar has an IQ of at least 160 and has been ranked in the 99.99th percentile of the population.

"Oscar was recently telling my wife about the reproductive cycle of penguins," Oscar's father Joe, 29, an IT specialist in Berkshire, told the Telegraph.

"He is always asking questions. Every parent likes to think their child was special but we knew there was something particularly remarkable about Oscar.

Mother Hannah, 26, told The Daily Mail: "He amazes everyone. We knew at 12 weeks he was extremely bright. He was unusually alert."

Mr. Wrigley admitted to the BBC that raising a highly intelligent child can be challenging. "We're in limbo at the moment," he said. "Mentally he's too advanced for groups his own age but emotionally and physically he's still a two-year-old."

Mr. Wrigley added: "The reason we actually went for the assessment in the first place was not because we were thinking 'gosh we've got a really smart one, let's get him assessed'.

"It was actually to do with the negative things -- the fact that he doesn't sleep.

"I think the longest he's ever slept on his own is four hours."

Elise Tan Roberts, from Edmonton, North London, is the youngest British child to join Mensa at 2 years, four months and 14 days, with an IQ of 156. Currently the youngest American Mensa member is 2 years old.

If your child showed signs of brilliance would you give him or her an IQ test?

Marina! haha the right brain is for creativity, the arts...!
Left brain is for rational thinking.

I think for our young friend, Oscar, here, what he knows is from books. When he matures to finally put this knowledge to use by his independent self, i think he will blossom.
