It would be difficult not to be disturbed in the dark spiritual climate in which we live. Many here are concerned for the US in particular at this time. On 7 March 2009, Pastor David Wilkerson released a troubling warning:

I am compelled by the Holy Spirit to send out an urgent message to all on our mailing list, and to friends and to bishops we have met all over the world.
AN EARTH-SHATTERING CALAMITY IS ABOUT TO HAPPEN. IT IS GOING TO BE SO FRIGHTENING, WE ARE ALL GOING TO TREMBLE - EVEN THE GODLIEST AMONG US.
For ten years I have been warning about a thousand fires coming to New York City. It will engulf the whole megaplex, including areas of New Jersey and Connecticut. Major cities all across America will experience riots and blazing fires—such as we saw in Watts, Los Angeles, years ago.
There will be riots and fires in cities worldwide. There will be looting—including Times Square, New York City. What we are experiencing now is not a recession, not even a depression. We are under God’s wrath. ….
Many troubling but remarkable prophetic parallels have been noted by messianic rabbi Jonathan Cahn regarding the very unusual prophecy of Isaiah 9:10 and America’s, 9.11. These strange parallels were described as The Eight Harbingers of Judgment, linked below and, though lengthy, provide much of the background for what follows.
The causes for and the nature of a first Divine reprimand and the consequences that will befall a nation that continues in un-repentance , disobedience, or more seriously, outright defiance spiritual defiance and rebellion.
"And ALL THE PEOPLE SHALL KNOW,
even Ephraim and the inhabitants of Samaria,
THAT SAY IN PRIDE AND STOUTNESS OF, HEART:
Isaiah 9:9
THE BRICKS ARE FALLEN DOWN,
BUT WE WILL BUILD WITH HEWN STONES;
THE SYCAMORES ARE CUT DOWN,
BUT WE WILL CHANGE THEM INTO CEDARS.

The second judgment for rebellion, is prescribed to be more a expansive, horrific and devastating aftermath would follow. Repeated, Scripture emphasizes the concept of warning, initial incursion, time allowance to repent, and if repentance is not forthcoming, devastating events are swift, precise and specific.target .
The events of September 11, 2001 have been thoroughly documented. The bricks were fallen down, but the rebuilding began with hewn stone on July 4, 2004 when the granite cornerstone for the building of The Freedom Tower was set.
The sycamore tree outside St. Paul’s Chapel had fallen, but the cedar was lowered into place on November 22, 2003. It was named, the Tree of Hope. From The Watchmen, 911 and The Harbingers:
The next day [when] the people returned to ground zero, they found a tree lying on the ground, pierced by the beam of a falling Tower. There, at Ground Zero was a sycamore tree – struck town…after the tree of Isaiah 9…a harbinger of judgment…’the sycamore has fallen’…
…and strange, eerily, the people made a display of it, not realizing what it was in the Bible… and put it on display, its roots exposed…not realizing, as if to draw more attention to the sign. And a sculptor was commissioned to make a cast of it. He poured metal into the cast: he cast it into bronze, the Biblical metal of judgment…an image of the fallen sycamore to be displayed on Wall Street.
The significance of the bronze sycamore root sculpture is chilling. In May, 1792, twenty-four stock brokers met underneath a buttonwood tree, along Wall Street in New York City. The Buttonwood Agreement would be birthed as the golden calf of commerce, the bull of the New York Stock Exchange, but would be delivered, uprooted and cast in bronze.

"The Trinity Root"
The bronzed Trinity Root was dedicated on Wall Street on September 11, 2005. This date on the Hebrew Calendar was 7 Elul 5765. Three years later, 7 Elul 5768 was September 7, 2008. It was on this day, a Sunday, that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac were placed into conservatorship by the Federal Housing Finance Agency. Ehul is the final month on the Hebrew civil calendar and a month of repentance in preparation for a new year. Specifically, it is the month at Moses returned to Mount Sinai in repentance for the sin of the golden calf.
