A Test

Early tomorrow morning a snowstorm is going to hit my area in Southern Ontario. It is apparently going to bring about 8 inches of snow and very dangerous driving conditions.

I noticed last week that the Saviors of the Earth took claim of preventing an earthquake along the east coast of the American continent. Predicting an earthquake is a very tricky thing and there really was no way to tell if an earthquake was prevented or not.

So for this skeptic I would like to present you all with the first of 3 challenges that (if successful) would make me a believer.

The first is this. This snowstorm on Southern Ontario is a very sure thing. Stop it and you will pass the first test.

Hey I love the snow! Actually I wish it would happen Saturday because it would wreak havoc on my business tomorrow! Thought I'd try to kill 2 birds with one stone here and take the opportunity for an experiment

Well... if you like I can meditate on it for you and try to shift the energy (I can see this as a very strenuous exercise considering the season)... but it would probably back itself up on my neck of the woods and frankly... I have enough snow for snowballs lol

I was hoping for one of those mass meditations that apparently cancelled an earthquake. There was a very good chance the earthquake wouldn't happen anyways. I want to see a true test of the powers preventing something that is, without a doubt, going to happen.

Dear all.

The earthquake was not prevented. According to things that have been said and written, it was simply moved to a location where it would do less harm.

Lo and behold, today there was in fact an earthquake in Chile, 6.3 on the Richter scale, which was luckily far enough away from inhabited areas that it did no damage whatsoever. It should be interesting to note that this earthquake was predicted somewhere between the 12th and the 19th.

I have a question for you, Count Duckula:

If the snowstorm hits tomorrow, after a meditation to stop it, but the actual snow cover is only 5 to 7 inches, would you consider that a success, or put that down to freak chance? Likewise, if the snowstorm doesn't hit tomorrow, but diverts and hits another area, would you count that as success and thus proof, or attribute that to changed meteorological circumstances? There is no such things as absolute proof.

Absolutely no offense meant, but many skeptics seem to regard skepticism as a way of life. I once asked one of my skeptic friends if he were to receive a handwritten note, on vellum, stating 'Yes, I exist' and signed 'God' if he would accept that as proof of the existence of God? 'No', he said 'Anyone can write that.'

So this is my question: how can you prove something in such a way that proof becomes undeniable, when the object of proof itself is open to skepticism?

P.S. 'to prove' is these days used in the wrong context as regards to theories and suppositions. 'To prove' actually means 'to test' but the meaning of the verb has been perverted in the last fifty years. All scientists worthy of that name agree to one thing: it is impossible to know for certain if something is true or not, as proof itself requires proving.

As far as saving lives I addressed that. There will be very dangerous driving conditions tomorrow and lives will be
at stake. If we're talking about number of lives saved than the earthquake scenario is moot as it was said to be moved to the Asian continent where many more lives are at stake. Why those lives aren't as cherished as the lives on the American continent is beyond me....

The difference between 8 or 5 inches is irrelevant. Brad and Clinton claimed an earthquake was stopped last week. Totally. No tremors or anything. Saying a few inches less of snow than the estimated amount isn't the same as stopping an earthquake, tremors and all.

If they can claim they can change the shift in the tectonic plates of an entire continent than they can concievably stop a little snow.

If there is no snow in the morning then I will be a believer.

I think that's all we're getting. Brad will jump at the chance to take care of an earthquake that was a definate improbibility yet will completely ignore something that is a finite probability!

This would have been a perfect test for the SOE to prove themselves. Prove their powers. Show us skeptics a thing or 2. All we've gotten are excuses of why they're not going to do it.

Anyhow, to those who may have tried, I thank you for your effort. Unfortunately I need to report that the snow level is quickly approaching my knees.
