I also deal with this within my extended family not with the same religion but one that does not 'allow' tv or liquor along with a laundry list of other things.. And yes they all have their secret tv's stashed away that they hide if any other 'friends' from their religion come to the house!! bah!! pretending to be something that they are not! pretending to be what you think you should be .... it gets under my skin because there is so much more out there that they are cutting them selves off from.. I remember as a child my mother brought me up with the same kind of beliefs that i still have now..the kind of beliefs that led us BOTH to this site.. and all i can do is thank her.. As a kid some of my friends used to ask me what religion i was.and i was never able to answer them because like you..i agree that Organized religion is a farce.. Fake as fake gets. with the above example.... my religion is LOVE..and there isn't anyother way to discribe it..oh sure i could say lightworker or any other term like that is probably better suited ..but it is taking the best from all religions and i think that with out people understanding that you need the best from all religions they are never going to make then next spirituality jump or evolution.. i agree with Nassim Haramein in what he says on this same issue.. ........
