Well...I am an Icelander, and this is not true. Everybody is still paying their monstrous mortgage. Price on everything has gone up due to the economic crises. Food has gone up like 30-40%. My mortgage monthly payments has gone up 100% since 2005! But I still have the same salary as in 2007. People can not afford to do anything. And the left wing government is not helping the people. Which is why the opinion poles show the opposition getting 43% support if we were to vote now. Most people want them to step down. They have not kept their promises. So sorry to dissapoint you...but this is the way it is now :(
