You can use the landscape as a reference point starting around 1:38. It's not very high up at all, by the looks of it, barely outside of the troposphere.

Still, a very stunning minotaur rocket launch ;P

Wow, the object just hung there at the end. Notice the swirl in its trail at the end too.
Nice snag, who ever shot the vid. And thanks Jose.
My wife and I saw something, where we live, very similar to this object. What we saw didn't have a tail as long as that one, but it did just vanish like that.

Actually a meteor behaves nothing like that at that altitude in our atmosphere. It's actually a minotaur rocket you can type it into youtube and see for yourself.
