This is extremelyΒ controversial, for years people in theΒ deafΒ communityΒ have been fighting the invasive procedure of fitting a Cochlear Implant in infants, mostly because they are to young to express their choice. The argument on the side of the technology is that it needs to be fitted at that age.
The proof for me on whither or not this is a good use of technology is written on the childs face when he hears his mothers voice.
