To me this blog has been way over-analyzed by everyone. I mean all I get from this is, if you smoke, or drink or whatever, quit as soon as possible. And if you don't, don't start. Like Arcturian11 said, don't stick your hand in the fire if you don't have too. I mean, how is that debatable?
Congratulations Arcturian11 on having perhaps the most comments for a blog ever on Saviors. A message about the reduction of suffering; Isn't that really what this site is about in the final analysis?

What initially was to be a humble message that one thought a few people might respond to, turned into a resoundingly successful interaction! Much appreciation to all those who participated, and enriched my understanding of where people were at with this concept. May your dreams unfold with ease and joy!
I see life as a balancing act. Find the "blessing/lesson" in the "not-so-great" stuff and enjoy the great stuff with gratitude. After all, we create our own experiences, depending on what we focus on. If you fear suffering, that's what you create and attract. A powerful growth tool in life is self-awareness and constantly renewing your thoughts, beliefs, actions and words to be in line with what you desire in life.
Sometimes that is easier said than done, but practice makes perfect and WHO'S PERFECT?? :))

It all depends on how one looks at it. We can see it as difficult, overwhelming and bad or we can see it as challenging, adventurous and good for spiritual growth. We must come to a point in life on how we see the world and things that happen in our lives. Our perception of things has a direct affect on the way we feel about it. Information gives feeling. Its up to us to choose how we feel about it. Looking at the big picture helps us understand the nature of things. There is no wrong choice. There is only error. We learn from errors. Its life's teacher.

This brief, and timeless idea, posited here, has apparently struck a chord. Who amongst us hasn't said in real-time, "This act I am about to engage in will have negative effects"...and how often were you right? Sometimes however, as was stated earlier, one feels impelled to test the theory. It seems part of human nature. With spiritual growth though, one becomes much more enamored with peace and being centered, and when that becomes unshakable, you will never worry about anything again. People call it...ENLIGHTENMENT.
