This is unbelivable!

It's not a protest...is purely for looting and for the evilness of it! It makes me sick!

They are even setting fire in people's homes! Mostly are teenagers that know nothing will be done against them...

Even in my neighbourhood, that is one of the 'safest' in London there was some disturbance tonight.

It is a rebellion against the established wealthy, which bubbled up and is now boiling over!! People have no work people are hungry people want answers, and what do they get, that they get shot at ... even if it is a drugdealer, it doesn't matter, people see it finally that nothing is gonna change, nothing only more police in the streets and more violence against civilians.

But maybe you are two lucky ladies who lived just outside/inside the save zone, where there is less poverty!!!

Yes they are all scum , if i saw my son on tv kicking the shit out of someone or something i would be dropping him at the police station myself!

No, this riots are for no reason other than greed. Believe me, these people are not hungry; they are all on benefits from the government,which I am very against because makes they lazy, the don't want to work to make money and buy the things they want. They want stuff to be handed in their hands. If you ask any 15 year old chav if they would like to have the opportunity to study and work, they will quickly say "No way, I can be on the dole!". That is how it is in Britain. Pathetic!

I got home from work asap today to make sure nothing is happening in my area of Manchester, as i live not far from moss side which is gang territory.

As far as i am aware, the man shot was a well known gangster, and people started at first with a peaceful protest over his ambiguous death. I heard a rumor that things really kicked off when a 16 year old girl who threw stones at police was then beaten by the police with batons, sparking the riot.

Imo, the people involved are gangsters and chavs, out for stealing.

But something i keep in mind is that these people are of a lower class, with less money than most (the chavs more so than the gang members) and the fact is that having growing up with no money (most involved are mid to late teens, most likely from poor families, and likely many broken homes) these circumstances can really push people into desperation, as well as creating a worped physique.

The first riot, in Tottenham, where he was shot might even have been because of the shooting. I don't think it is justified at all. But all the other riots, it is simply opportunists scum!!!

This has absolutely nothing to do with the Olympics.
