I am emerging


If I look back on my life to date, I see it as a J-curve.

The first sixty years were very slow. No matter how fast I thought I was going, I was in fact moving very slow compared to what came later.

It was only after the heart opening in March 2015 that my life picked up speed. Picked up speed? In what respect?

I’ve written about the type of approach I use. In addition to love and awareness, I use a skill I call “emergence.”

I’ve discussed the subject elsewhere and I’ll refer you to that discussion so that I can take it a few yards further here. (1)

Emergence involves pushing one’s edge, taking a risk, revealing one’s self. It aims at being transparent, calling oneself on one’s own numbers, taking responsibility for one’s words and actions, and so on. Making a promise or commitment. Tieing oneself to the mast. By pushing our edge in these ways, we emerge from our fears....+@
