NO MORE ORGANIC MARKETS IN THE U.S.

Well, it was just a matter of time until the recently passed food bill would stomp on the organic markets. Ushered in today's news is proof that the coffin is sealed. Those of us in the city who cant grow our own gardens will be starved of nutrient rich food. The soil will be poisoned, the animals will be fed these franken foods and we are the final stop on the food chain. wow. Supplemental vitamins are going to make a killing for the pharmaceutical companies. This is like a bad dream.

SIMONE, ok, where exactly do i go buy the heavenly manna ;-)  I cant grow my own food bcuz, of city living ......no room and hardly any direct sunlight especially between october and april.

SIMONE, now I know what you were talking about. I completely agree. I am really bummed. I cant believe the one store that i thought was doing the right thing has sold out. Now its like there is no place to run and no where to hide.  And what do WE do? Absoultely nothing.

SIMMY- you are no better off my friend. Your natural remedy market is GONE. If someone wants a natural remedy over that not only do they have to get a prescription for it, but they will probabaly have to pay through the nose for it too. Or at least that is how i understand it on this side of the ocean ;-)

SIMONE,  I dont know what you have i Hawaii, but here in chicago it is Whole Foods. It is not a fake front and its the only place where I get food. Not only organic but all meat that is in the store is backed by a guarantee that the animals were not caged, fed on grass and normal feed (instead of animla parts and corn), or tortured in any way. Its quite expensive but worth it morally (in my opinion). None of the places they mention in that article are fake, but they are the last bastions of good nutrient rich food :(

CLINTON, thanks for feeling sorry for us, but we brought this on ourselves. We are such a lazy, stupid breed that allows governments and laws to run ammock. I have been screaming about this bill since I knew about it in 2006. What happened? In 2010 they passed the bill and it wasnt until the month before it passed in congress did our fat asses start saying something about it. TOO LATE.  Thank you anyway and enjoy your food ;-)
