How Cannabis Heals The Body

There is one herb that seems to be knocking at our doors right now, begging to be used to heal the world's major illnesses.

My close friend Sara rubs a salve made from this plant on her back to dissolve the pain where she has had multiple surgeries. A fellow filmmaking buddy from Austin uses a tincture from it to prevent his lifelong seizures AND three different cancer survivors I know swear by it, claiming it saved their lives.

What is this miracle herb?

It’s a green, pungent plant that is often labeled a “street drug” because of its mind-altering effects. You've heard it sung about on hit radio tunes since the early 60’s, but rarely do we hear about its long list of proven medical uses.

It's name? Cannabis, or marijuana. 

Once greatly respected in ancient China for its healing properties, this botanical wonder has recently become stigmatized, oversimplified, and downright feared by many people.

How is one little plant capable of so much hubbub? Well it’s quite a story - and my friend John just created a riveting documentary series called The Sacred Plant that tells it all.

John's journey began when his father-in-law was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer and told by doctors that there was nothing more they could do.  The family tried the conventional route of chemotherapy for his lungs and radiation for his brain – treatments which nearly took his life.  Desperate for an alternative solution, they looked into every natural remedy they could find, hoping for a miracle.

Their search led them to cannabis, and it has kept John's father-in-law alive 6 years past his “expiration date”, not to mention cancer free ever since.  

This experience inspired John to embark on a quest to bring this vital, life-saving information forward to the masses. It’s a bold project, and well worth a watch!
