I can understand the headaches for sure. Florescent lighting is like a death zone for my brain.

Led's are the best the brightest, and the most energy efficient. Plus they are not made with highly toxic materials such as mercury. Trust the government to go with the ones that are the most unhealthy.

 

I would advise everyone to just buy LED. and if you cant find them, individual led's are easy to get your hands on, just may take getting a little bit creative:)
