Dear Candace,
After reading through the about hope Website, I notice several articles regarding Haiti. In addition, I have received 3 mails from readers asking if we are doing anything for Haiti. These 3 readers have received their response from me on the subject matter. However, if your readers will allow me, I will explain the OITC / Collateral Account involvement with Haiti.
Haiti Assistance.
Some readers will be aware from previous postings that under Divine Foundation are in excess of 30,000 Trusts / Foundations / Corporations. Some of those Trusts and Foundations are actually Charitable Trusts / Foundations whose Trustees in conjunction with Dr. Dam have contributed financially / materially to the massive relief effort for Haiti. This is ongoing and will remain so for a considerable time.
In addition to this, and in which I am directly involved with my superior, the OITC has now offered a figure of a minimum Two Hundred Billion United States Dollars ($200,000,000,000 - 00 USD) for the reconstruction of Haiti, together with long term economic development.
It actually took us Ten (10) days to make communication with Officials, which was enabled and assisted by the Haiti Embassy in Canada.
My superior personally spoke to the Senior most person attending to the Haiti situation, together with one of her subordinates. Following these telephone communications, Official documents were prepared and immediately delivered to the Embassy for further delivery, by hand, to the President / Prime Minister of Haiti.
We now wait for the Official response, which will be routed through the same Canadian Embassy.
We also understand that several Caribbean Nations have excelled themselves to assist Haiti and its people, despite their own impoverished or under-developed economies. Jamaica is one of those Nations, Cuba and Venezuela are others.
Readers can be assured that the OITC will do all it can for Haiti and its people, subject to acceptance by the President / Prime Minister of Haiti. The OITC stands ready to assist in the rebuilding, reconstruction, and further economic development of Haiti as soon as we are officially advised. Our Advisers, Consultants are on stand-by ready to implement action at short notice.
