Blowing the Whistle, Chpt. 4: When Deepest, Cherished Beliefs Come Tumbling Down

This is the fourth chapter in an online book, “Blowing the Whistle on Enlightenment: Confessions of a New Age Heretic,” by Bronte Baxter.

A person determined to examine their programming and figure out the truth about the world is an adventurer. Like explorations in the physical world, those in mind or spirit can be laced with surprises and challenges, even dangers. But the person intent on truth is willing to face them, trusting in something within to show them the way.

I want to write today about that something. When cherished beliefs are assaulted by new knowledge, the foundations of our world take the hit. That means the foundations of our psyche itself, because that is where our deepest beliefs are structured, deep in subconscious mind. I don’t think a person can question and explore reality without feeling shaken, even shattered, from time to time, and I want to talk about how I personally deal with that. Because the ability to deal with that determines whether we move forward in our quest or turn tail and beat it back to base camp, trying to block out what we heard and saw in the forest.

How deep does the rabbit hole go? We still don’t know. Those of us who research the secrets of the elitist global agenda have not yet reached the end of it. I still get shaken from things I sometimes find. Here is how I deal with that experience.

I know I have a choice, whether to accept fear or whether to trust myself and the essential goodness in the universe. No one can harm me without my tacit permission, and I give that permission when I get into fear. Fear is a decision we make that we can’t take care of ourselves. Once we’ve decided that, it opens the door for harm to enter our lives. Subconscious permission counts as permission, and that’s why the manipulators of this dimension go to such lengths to secure ours.

Through religion, schooling, news and entertainment, we are programmed to accept ideas that take away our natural autonomy and empowerment. We’re taught that we are born into sin, or that we’re born into ignorance. We’re told we’re selfish and greedy, and that ego identification (cherishing our individuality) is the root of all suffering. We’re told we must forfeit freedoms so we can have safety and justice. We’re told the world is a dangerous place and only governments, rules and restrictions can protect us: the bigger they are, the better the protection.

The more we accept these ideas, the more fear takes over our subconscious minds in the form of deep-seated attitudes that tell us we can’t trust ourselves, and that we are little and powerless. By the time we are adults, our subconscious is in a pretty saturated state of self-doubt, which is why our conscious mind builds so many cathedrals to things outside ourselves that we trust to take care of us and explain the world to us. Spiritual teachers, religious leaders, charismatic politicians, celebrities – we let what they say determine what is real and what is right. Because we have no faith in our ability to know what is real and right for ourselves.

That’s unconscious fear, and that attitude is what our manipulators manipulate us through. If it weren’t there, they couldn’t touch us. It’s that subconscious acceptance of ourselves as lacking that keeps the door open to entities outside ourselves messing with us.

What’s the solution? I think, to really examine who we are. To really look at what we’re made of. At bottom, I find I’m a consciousness, a unique spiritual identity empowered with perception and creativity. I am unique and at the same time totally one with the wholeness of consciousness, the First Consciousness, in which all individual consciousness is structured and of which it is made.

Where is the lack? Where is the ignorance, selfishness, and greed that we have been told we are? Those lame concepts are only attitudes we have picked up about ourselves, not our inner reality. Before consciousness doubted itself, it was complete and perfect. That little thought, “but what if maybe I’m not?” was the seed thought that started all the chaos and suffering in the universe. It’s nothing but a wisp of fear, and it is unfounded. How can we be rightfully afraid when we are infinite, when our very consciousness is the stuff of creation, and a manager of creation?

The belief that fear is founded is the ultimate illusion. When we unseat that attitude from our subconscious, through thoughtful examination of who we really are, followed by emotional acceptance of that wonderful reality, there’s nothing to be afraid of anymore. We have found a storehouse of power and goodness within ourselves, and that is our new home base. The place we go back to when life starts to overwhelm us again.

Life cannot be scary when you know what you are made of. You can relinquish your worship of middle-men who claim they will take you to God, or that they are God, once you know you are God as much as anybody else could ever be. You have direct access to the Source, because you’re a child of the Source and part of the Source. Dogmas and beliefs you previously fell for, you can let go of now. You’re equipped for the adventure of living, and nothing can deflect you from your consistent talent for self-referral. Your personhood, established in your Source, is the authority you run things by. Nothing outside can program you again.

When I start to feel shaken by what’s going on the world, or what I’m finding in my research, this is what I go back to that always sustains me. Manipulating entities can’t mess with me, because I don’t give them permission. If I fall into temporary self-doubt and fear, thereby opening the door to their return in the realm of my thoughts, I have only to remember what I am, and they are ousted. It’s easy, once I self-examine and remember. Then the power of the Source, its creativity and joy, flow into me again. While the thought demons sit on the sidelines wondering, “How the heck does she do that?”

When I encounter new information that shakes my current paradigm and whispers I may need to let go of another belief, I take a deep breath and say, “I can survive that.” My beliefs are not who I am, they’re something I own. And I want to clear out any that don’t correctly match the nature of the universe. This puzzle-piecing business requires lots of paradigm revision. When that starts to feel scary, I focus again on who I am and re-experience that inner reality. Then I can handle anything.

What we’re doing right now, both how we act and the thoughts we choose to hold… that’s the most extraordinarily powerful thing. It’s just a distraction to be so concerned with external things like religion, past schooling, etc.

I agree, Stuart, that how we choose to act and think right now is everything. I also think that to free our minds from unconscious programming is essential to understanding and exercising that kind of free choice. Until we see where we’ve given our power away, we can’t reclaim it and exercise it. I don’t believe we’re as far apart in our viewpoints as you seem to think.

Hi Bronte,
What you say makes a lot of sense, I read you articles just at the right time.
I have been into mantra stuff for a while and something just started to wake me up in the last few days when I started to get the message that I could just stand on my own vs being dependant on gurus or mantras and make choices that suited me vs ‘spiritual’ ones.
Last night I had a dream where I saw a big, black, organic sort of space ship / pod floating outside the window of the office building I work in.
It seemed to me to be sort of a power station or satellite designed to capture the energy of people. Amazing. I think I really wanted to know the truth of things. Thanks for your adventurous writings.
I feel an sense of relief knowing that I be myself again.

- We had best run the other way as fast as possible, because once they have convinced humanity of this insane dogmas, the snare will fall around us, and we will be prisoners of One world, One religion, One global fascist government, One global army to keep the people in line, and no way to escape the tyrants’ absolute control. Freedom is in individuality, in uniqueness, in originality, in personal will, in creating, and in having a choice. All of that must be destroyed for them to turn us into a race of smiling, obedient, “enlightened” automatons. They start by poisoning our minds with just the kind of reasoning you have repeated here.
- There is a Vedic story about creation. It says God made the world because He was lonely and wanted company. God found the bliss of his own ground state to be boring after a while, and that’s why He created. He wanted action, expression, and fun. He wanted a myriad of individuals, in a myriad of life forms. Yet all the “spiritual” people today are being programmed and brainwashed by their teachers to believe that the world has no validity, that all that matters is collapsing the world and ourselves back into the unformed Infinite. That’s a slap in the face of the Creator and an insult to and perversion of the original divine intent, which was to express itself into the beauty of relative life.
- Bob, answering your question is the point of all the chapters of this book. A reader must really read and digest them all to understand the evidence that supports my answer. The short version of my answer, though, is this: the belief you’ve expressed here is an engineered belief that encourages people to abdicate personal responsibility and their power to move the world in a desired direction. When enough people abdicate the sacredness of their own personhood, the controllers can move in, unopposed. It’s sort of like putting the army to sleep, then moving in for the kill.

I certainly acknowledge that most institutional religions DO, in fact, give us poor self esteem and deplete our empowerment. But Bronte seems to include Buddhist thought in that grouping too and implies that even the teaching that “ego identification (cherishing our individuality) is harmful and the root of all suffering”, is also a false teaching, but I don’t see how that could be said. Isn’t it precisely ego and seeing everyone and everything else as “other” and expendable that drives the Illuminati and the New World Order? How can I say that I am God and acknowlege the Oneness of all life and consciousness if I cling to my ego and individuality,which is only a manifestation of my being in the world of form and matter and physical manifestation? It is my understanding that in the higher vibrations, there is no consciousness of individuality; there is only THE ONE.

It’s not that I “feel” that even the Hindu teachers are part of the problem: I provide evidence. I can’t do the reading for you, and I can’t try to sum up a book in a couple of paragraphs. If you’re really interested, you’ll have to study this website and get the facts for yourself.A perfect example of going about this backwards is asking me, an author you haven’t studied whose ideas you don’t really know, who you should trust, instead of investigating to find out exactly what I say, examining its value in terms of your own understanding and experience, then deciding whether my words have value for you or not, and then examining other thought leaders in the same discriminating way. If I told you to “trust so-and-so,” would you blindly follow me, a writer who you don’t even know if you can agree with, and make that person or movement the thing you throw your allegiance behind?Bronte

- We each have to take personal responsibility for finding truth, for finding our own answers, and we have to question and examine everything we hear and read instead of searching for something or someone to believe in, trust in, and feel safe and cozy with. Believe in the truth, not in some individual. Make truth your goal, not some teacher or movement you can join. The reason we’ve been hung out to dry as a people is largely because of our herdlike mentality, our need and desire to be led. Getting over this is one of the first things we have to do to get the world back on course. No one will do it for us.
- How do you know who to “trust,” you ask. Don’t rely on trust. Rely on your personal investigation. Find out what people are actually teaching and promoting, and question it in terms of your own knowledge, reasoning, and experience. Where does where they are leading lead: to more dependence on others for our answers, security, and sustenance, or to more independence and freedom for the individual?

Thank you, Bronte, for your reply. And I do agree that all institutional religion IS “engineered”. I guess I felt that Vendanta and meditation were different though because they were not based on a book, but simply told you to go into your own self to test the methods in the laboratory of your own soul or center and NOT to rely on a book or another person. But you seem to feel that even the Hindu teachers are part of the problem. But if not only govt., but religion and spiritual paths are all part of this Illuminati conspiracy, then who can we trust? How can we even trust “Truth” people since they too could just be double agents of the Illuminati ????? The last time I heard the word “truth” used excessively was 40 years ago when I was entrapped by Jehovah’s Witnesses in their cult..

That’s how I came up with the information and insights in this blog. Nobody led me to them or taught them: I used my head, read and dialogued, thought things through, and didn’t accept what I heard on face value. The more I studied, using this approach, the more information I unearthed.

Just to give you an example of what I said above in the last paragraph: I recently viewed videos by Jordan Maxwell, who claims to be anti-Illuminati and I witnessed many parts of his videos where he outright lied about scriptures and teachings, both religious and astrological to make his points. Now why would he do that????? As soon as I heard the lies, he lost all credibility in my eyes.

And, this, I am finding, is very important for humanity: There’s no payoff in being loyal. I think humans have a subconscious belief, based on past experience, that being loyal will result in some sort of pay off-that this makes them ‘valuable’ to those who they have given their loyalty to. Sure, it’s based on survival mechanisms, or spiritual ‘saving’. It’s also biologically wired-the ‘clan mindset’, where one did need to rely on others to physically survive. It’s more important that ever that individuals not give over to ‘surrender to divine will’, b/c doing so will ensure that they do not learn how the human body works, and how it interfaces with the individual spirit or spark.
‘Your talent for self referral’ is one of the best lines I’ve read! love it.
Also, another form of manipulation (i have not read all of your ‘chapters’, just several so far, so I don’t know what’s been mentioned), is the Hegelian dialect….create a problem, provide a solution.
Jordan Maxwell and Icke, for starters, fall into this category, as well….
they are providing the seeming solution, for the problem that was ‘created’ by the ‘illuminati’. The goal with this strategy is ‘divide and conquer’. When enough of ‘us’ organize around rebelling against ‘them’, well, you’ve got your new movement of sheeple, then, haven’t you? The New Age movement is another example of this. Rail against the ‘old religions’ [the fear based] and create the new one [compliant surrender-though i would argue that new age is also fear based, for sure! just more passive agressive about it. it’s very abusive in much of it’s language, actually, psychologically].
when i read icke, maxwell, illuminati stuff in general, i experience physical fear; the same way i experience a kind of strange fog and disempowerment when ir ead some new age stuff/writings. Neither of those are good indicators on my ‘barometer of personal truth’, so i steer clear. Delve enough to get the info I need at the moment, or am interested in, and then get out.

They never codify “truth” and they never set themselves up as “teachers.” They don’t allow others to put them on a pedestal. They don’t appear on the roles of “the holy” or “the Self-realized.” They are simple, confident people going about their lives with the light on inside.
