Local administration decided to create duplicates of the statues in the temple and distribute them throughout the state. High-tech machinery was used to make very similar, if not identical duplicates.
Modern sculptors believe that ancient sculptors used the same methods as they do. However, because they didn’t have such sophisticated techniques like we do, they had to have worked for many weeks using very basic and old instruments.
Residents also claim that the newer monuments contain a serious flaw. The ball that is inside the lion’s mouth is made from the same material as the rest, but the Onyx ball was in the original statues.
