NEW ORLEANS – Tony Hayward, who became the face of BP's flailing efforts to contain the massive Gulf oil spill, will step down as chief executive in October and be offered a job with the company's joint venture in Russia, a person familiar with the matter said Monday.

Magnitude-7.2 quake strikes Baja California!!!!!!

LOS ANGELES – Minor damage has been reported in Mexico's northern Baja California after a magnitude-7.2 earthquake that was felt in Southern California, Arizona and Nevada.

The largest earthquake in the region in nearly 18 years struck at 3:40 p.m. Sunday more than 100 miles southeast of San Diego.

Chile Earthquake May Have Shortened Days on Earth

The massive 8.8 earthquake that struck Chile may have changed the entire Earth's rotation and shortened the length of days on our planet, a NASA scientist said Monday.

3D TV is being billed as a possible saviour for recession hit manufacturers looking to boost sales.

On the opening day of the Consumer Electronics Show, CES, in Las Vegas, all the big names unveiled 3D TV's.
