Over the centuries warriors have confused this word with pride. Honour is about how you treat other people, creatures, our mother earth that we all share. It is NOT about how you expect to be treated, that is purely pride (the greatest of all sins in Christian and Hebrew beliefs).
No one can dishonour you, only you can dishonour yourself.
