Saviors Of Earth

The Unification Epicenter of True Lightworkers

On A Dark Night is poetry written by St. John of the Cross who by members of his order, was kept in forced solitude for over 9 months before escaping. They were opposed to change that St. John had proposed for the order to turn to a life of prayer.

On A Dark Night was a reflection of his time spent in solitude, an exquisite, richly metaphoric love poem between himself and his god.

Written in Spanish, On a Dark Night is translated to english in several variations from the original poem. I’ve chosen one variation here.

Dark Night of the Soul is named such as it represents a particular phase of one’s journey of spiritual growth with mindful meditation as referred to in the post ‘Meditation for Beginners’.

With continued daily practice of meditation there is a period of grace as you’re discovering the calm center of your being. You’ll find that as you become more experienced, that grace period comes to a point where you will get into your personal structures of ego. The grace period has ended. It is now that the experiences you’ve gained in detachment from your thoughts that you will reap the benefit.

No need to sugar coat, this may be an unpleasant experience for some. The ego structure is created to contain the chaos created from areas in your life where perhaps you’ve been in denial or unwilling to process negative, meaningful events that have taken place. You’ll begin to perceive that these issues are waiting to be dealt with. It is like opening Pandora’s Box and all unfinished events will come forward. These are karma issues and will take a great deal of intention, self love, self forgiveness, diligence and patience to resolve.

That being easier said than done, it must be your intention to face what may come up for you without fear, or feel the fear and do it anyway. Continue your meditations and work diligently to resolve and to forgive yourself for any of the pain or suffering you may have experienced from these issues in the past.

It doesn’t matter how these events transpired in your life. It is about the effect upon you. In this process it is the letting go of the interpretation of those events that have shadowed you. This process can take days, weeks or even months to move through. It is determined by the speed by which you approach them or if you avoid them.

You know the journey you are on is one of love. There is nothing that can hurt you while you are within the embracing power of love. Remember you are a spiritual being having a physical experience and all that experience has made you the stronger for it. In this process find gratitude for all your experiences in life and let this be one of the most powerful steps on your journey to self awareness.

Much love and joy to you all :)
