This may sound slightly strange, perhaps even a bit basic for some more experienced members of this groups, but... my experience with meditation is fairly limited. I was taught a few basic breathing techniques as a child to keep my mind focused, but I only started meditation for meditation's sake about two weeks ago.
Today, while listening to the deep meditation iso-tone, rather than feeling as if I'm fluttering in the breeze like I normally do when meditation, suddenly there was this feeling of... nothingness. Everything was dark suddenly, except for what I can only explain as a 'sheet' of light coming down from the top of my vision. It lasted for a second only until my eyes opened entirely automatically, and I felt a strange sensation pulsing down my entire body for a few moments.
My question is simply, am I taking my meditation deeper than before, or am I finally truly meditating for the first time? Considering I have no frame of reference, it's very hard to tell. :)
yes and no,your meditation is getting deeper and youre becoming more aware at the same time so youre noticing your own progress, and all life can be meditation,in my life i make it so,it all just shows me the way to flow home!
I feel the same as you Ullan. Thank you for posting this. I believe that some of the very insightful members of this forum have given me something to work on.
