Banned from soe

I can't really post this in the admin section as I had been banned. I have no idea why. But that is not my concern, what is, is that all the new member section set up to help new members has been lost as has much of the Q&A in the SOE section. My apologise for this. I will try to find out if NING can restore this registration back to a certain date.

Hi Tony...

I'm really trying to figure out what is going on here. I'm receiving messages that I have to approve new members, when I'm only a member myself. Then when I click on the link, these people have already been approved as members. Then, I'm getting e-mail messages from people (mostly in the UK) that've been banned, with their private e-mail addresses. I'm beginning to believe it's hype to gather a list of e-mail addresses. I may be wrong...but I have a very deep impression of this. Do you think maybe Basilis may know more about this? Who began this area? If this continues, I'll have no choice but to leave. It gives me a very eerie feeling. Thanks and hugs...Lea

All i know is that when i tried to log on after dinner i received the "you have been banned" message.

Now that i am back i am able to check on things and talk to people.

There seems to have been a major problem with this site (not sure if any other sites were effected), Brad will contact NING.

We suddenly had over 50 admins and some portions of the databse are gone.

My banning unfortunately led to large sections of new-members being deleted. We are not yet sure what other damagae has been done. We are currently looking at all area's.

NING will hopefully be able to undo the problems caused by either a technical problem or attack.

Sorry about that Lea, my reason for ban query went to a new member too. It looks like the database at NING has been somehow currupted. You along with 49 others were suddenly admins and/or creator of the site.

I was banned Simone. In hindsight it seems that the NING database has become corrupted at this site. Not sure if other sites have the same problem. Members who just signed up suddenly became owner and admin of the site.

ik was wel verbaasd toen ik die boodschap kreeg. Maar je weet maar nooit. Zoals je weet bekommer ik me om de members niet de eigenaar. Dus klote dat al die informatie weg is bij new-members. Maar het lijkt inderdaad of er iets bij NING gebeurd is.

Ben benieuwd wat er gebeurd is, of hij heeft een makkelijk te kraken password of iets bij NING. Helaas lijkt het eerste in welk variant dan ook het meest waarschijnlijk.
