Twenty one UFOs seen in daylight flying above Reading, Berkshire (UK), just after dawn. Mobile phone footage of one of them can be seen here - YouTube video (1 min).
The video was captured by Lizzie Zuowen Tang and Jo Mingjiao Xue who saw the twenty one unidentified craft between 4.45am and 5.53am. They moved slowly and silently at a high altitude. The UFOs were rod-shaped and pointed in the direction that they were flying. The craft rotated about their long axes as they flew. Two of the UFOs were observed to generate a very strong light flash which lasted a few seconds. Mainstream press reportage here (05.07.10).

AB comment: This latest UK UFO sighting is similar to another widely reported one seen on a sunny day in the west of England two years ago. At 1.00pm on Sunday 27th July 2008, a video of a very clear and unusual cigar-shaped UFO was taken by a British holidaymaker at the Brean Leisure Park, near Burnham-on-Sea, Somerset (UK). The video was shot at the height of the tourist season. Hundreds of local holidaymakers stopped to view the phenomenon, which was hovering overhead. Videos here and here. On page 10 of the Summer 2010 issue of The Oldie magazine (London), a British Royal Air Force veteran, Gordon Burgess, recounts a related story. Fifty years ago, Burgess was flying an RAF Shackleton patrol bomber from Cyprus to Malta. Near Crete, the Shackleton was intercepted by a cylindrical, metal-looking object with no visible means of support or propulsion. The UFO had a ghostly red light around the nose. It was early morning, but daylight. Burgess' Shackleton flew westwards at two thousand feet and 160 knots. The cylindrical UFO formatted on their port side and whatever the Shackleton did, the UFO stayed there. Burgess and his eleven crew members saw the object clearly for a period of more than two hours. Burgess took the Shackleton up to an altitude of ten thousand feet, sent a sighting report, and switched his radar responder to NATO emergency status. Two hours later, Burgess' RAF Shackleton was intercepted by two RAF Javelin fighters who said they could see the UFO clearly. As soon as the Javelins arrived, the UFO disappeared upwards into the sky at a colossal speed. Malta radar said they lost it at sixty thousand feet, going too fast for them to measure. After landing, Burgess, his crew and the Javelin fighter pilots reported what they had seen. The incident and its records became an official NATO secret. Burgess was an experienced Squadron Leader pilot, had flown with the RAF since 1940, and had survived the Second World War and other military operations. He states clearly that the UFO "was real and not a fantasy. I don't think anyone on this planet, then or now, could produce that sort of capability."
