Opportunity for Reflection

We all have days that seem endlessly difficult and hard. On these days, it is as if the odds are stacked against us and we just can’t get a break as one challenging situation follows another. We may feel like we’re ... standing in the ocean getting hit by wave after wave, never able to get a full breath. Sometimes it’s necessary or worth it to stay in the fray and work our way through. Other times, the best idea is to go home and take the breath we need in order to carry on.

If the only choice is to get through it, a hard day can be a great teacher. It will eventually end and we can look back on it, taking pride in the stamina, courage, and ingenuity it took to hold our ground. We may also look back and see how ... we could have done things differently. This knowledge will be valuable when we face hard days in the future. Trust your gut as you’re deciding whether to work through it, and know that sometimes a timely retreat is the best way to ensure a positive outcome. Getting space can remind us that external circumstances are not the whole picture. Once we catch our breath and re-center ourselves, we will be able to determine our next move. With a little perspective, we may even find the inner resources to change our attitude about what’s happening. We may begin to see that what we saw as hardships are actually opportunities. As our attitude changes for the better, our actions and the circumstances will follow suit.

Sometimes all that’s needed is a good night’s sleep. No one is immune to having a hard day and these are usually the times we can learn the most. If we can find it in our hearts to examine the day, and maybe make one small change in perception, we can ease our pain and greet the next day that much wiser.FINDING OUR OWN PATHStag:saviorsofearth.ning.com,2010-11-25:2492330:BlogPost:3049152010-11-25T14:53:02.000ZGolden_Angel_Khttps://saviorsofearth.ning.com/profile/Golden_Angel_k

Entering into our own spirituality is a private journey. Each of us will be drawn to a different gateway to begin on our personal path to awakening to a greater experience of ourselves. Even though we may be taught certain ... philosophies or beliefs as children, we still need to find our own way of understanding and applying them in our lives. For those who are raised without a spiritual framework, they may not even know their process as a form of spirituality. But at some stage in their lives, whether in youth or adulthood, they are likely to recognize the resonance of their beliefs, the ring of truth in their philosophy, and their dedication to their chosen purpose.

Our inner guidance will lead us, so that we will be drawn to the right doorway for us--a doorway that only we can recognize by the way it makes us feel inside. It could be a picture of an angel or the gift of a crystal. We may meet someone ...special who shares their experiences with us in a way that we find intriguing. While visiting the home of an admired friend, we may notice a book or statue of a deity, and ask why they chose those tools. Or a word or phrase may catch our attention in a song, or a lecture. For some they may find their way by walking through the experience of illness before they begin the search for what will help them to truly heal, while others may seek physical improvement and stumble across yoga or meditation--only to find that it leads them to an unexpected place beyond the body.

As we awaken to ourselves and to life, we will become more attuned to what is right for us. The universe speaks to all of us through infinite channels, but we each have our own frequency. Others may share what worked for them, but only we can decide what truly makes us feel inspired, awakened, connected, fully conscious, aware and alive. Whatever our path, it is perfect and is meant especially for us.GOING AGAINST WHAT IS POPULARtag:saviorsofearth.ning.com,2010-11-25:2492330:BlogPost:3049112010-11-25T14:50:03.000ZGolden_Angel_Khttps://saviorsofearth.ning.com/profile/Golden_Angel_k
Conscious Decisions

Just because an idea or way of doing things is popular doesn’t mean it’s right for everyone. However, part of the way that something becomes popular is that many of us don’t take the time to determine what’s right for us; ... we simply do what most of the people we know are doing. In this way, our decisions about life are made by default, which means they aren’t what we call conscious decisions. There may be many other options available, but we don’t always take the time to…
Just because an idea or way of doing things is popular doesn’t mean it’s right for everyone. However, part of the way that something becomes popular is that many of us don’t take the time to determine what’s right for us; ... we simply do what most of the people we know are doing. In this way, our decisions about life are made by default, which means they aren’t what we call conscious decisions. There may be many other options available, but we don’t always take the time to explore them. This may be the result of feeling overwhelmed or pressured by family, peers, and humanity at large, to do things their way, the way things have always been done. Regardless of the cause, it is important that, as often as we can, we decide for ourselves what to do with our lives rather than just drift along on the current of popular opinion.

It is not always easy to make decisions that go against the grain. Many people feel threatened when those close to them make choices divergent from the ones they are making. Parents and grandparents may be confused and defensive when we choose to raise our children differently from the way they raised us. Friends may feel abandoned if we decide to change our habits or behavior. Meanwhile, on our side of the fence, it’s easy to feel frustrated and defensive when we feel unsupported and misunderstood simply because we are thinking for ourselves. It can be exhausting to have to explain and re-explain our points of view and our reasons.

This is where gentleness, openness, and tolerance come into play. It helps if we are calmly persistent, consistent, and clear as we communicate to those around us why we are making the choices we are making. At the same time, we have the right to say that we are tired of talking about it and simply need our choices to be respected. Our lives belong to us and so do our decisions. Those who truly love us will stand by us and support our choices, never mind what’s popular.NATURAL SOUNDS MEDITATIONtag:saviorsofearth.ning.com,2010-11-25:2492330:BlogPost:3049092010-11-25T14:46:29.000ZGolden_Angel_Khttps://saviorsofearth.ning.com/profile/Golden_Angel_k

The tool most commonly used to focus our minds in meditation is the breath. When we sit down to meditate, drawing our attention inward counteracts our habitual tendency to be scattered. Meditation on the breath helps us gather our energy into our bodies, centering and grounding us in the present moment. Almost as readily available as our breath are the sounds of the natural world. From rain to wind to the ocean and birds, meditating on these aural manifestations brings us not only a sense of peace, but also an experience of connection to the physical world.

It is easy to get stuck inside our own heads and our individual lives. We get caught up in our goals and plans and almost forget that we live in a world that is always there, humming away in the background. There is an internal shift that occurs when we tune into that background and really give it our attention. It's as if we are discovering a more expansive world, because we are. We are also experiencing ourselves in relation to something larger. This discovery makes us feel rejuvenated and more expansive.

The vast and ceaselessly churning ocean is an ideal place for meditating on the sounds of nature. Sit quietly and surrender to the sounds of the thundering, crashing waves. Let go of your ambitions and listen. Rivers and lakes also sing their own songs. Even if you live in the middle of a city, the wind howls and whistles and the rain taps out a variety of sounds depending on where it falls-on the sidewalk, a tin roof, a car window, or a muddy slope. Tune into these sounds next time you hear them instead of letting them fade into the background. Stop and listen as if you are hearing a sublime piece of music. Let the music of this world take you on a journey of natural sounds.STAYING IN PAINtag:saviorsofearth.ning.com,2010-11-25:2492330:BlogPost:3049132010-11-25T14:30:00.000ZGolden_Angel_Khttps://saviorsofearth.ning.com/profile/Golden_Angel_k

Stuck In The Mud
Pain comes and it goes. It is just one component to the grand cycle of life. And when experienced as such, pain can serve as an important teacher. It is when we get stuck in our pain that it becomes detrimental to our well-b ...eing and development. If you notice that you feel closed-off, resentful, heavy-hearted, or that you try very hard to avoid being hurt again, there may be a part of you that is still stuck in pain.

We can get stuck in our pain for many reasons. As children, it was natural for us to cry, throw a tantrum, and let the experience move through us. By fully feeling our pain in this way, our emotions would wash us clean, leaving us open and available to new experiences. With age, though, we might have determined that expressing emotion was no longer appropriate, and so we developed a variety of coping strategies to deal with our discomfort. We may have learned to stuff our feelings down or to run away from them. Perhaps we began thinking that staying closed and unwilling to try new things would keep us safe from heartbreak, safe from rejection, and safe from failure. We may have even gotten so used to being in pain that the thought of being without it scares us. But, if we continue to hold onto it longer than necessary, we are expending a lot of energy that could instead be channeled into making our life experiences more positive.

If you notice that you are continually connecting with the same familiar patterns of pain, consider embracing your feelings and letting go of your hurt. Whether your pain is from childhood or from an experience last week, see if you can give it room to move. When it does, you will reconnect with a wonderful source of your own vital energy.PURE THOUGHTStag:saviorsofearth.ning.com,2010-11-22:2492330:BlogPost:3036182010-11-22T17:56:42.000ZGolden_Angel_Khttps://saviorsofearth.ning.com/profile/Golden_Angel_k
If we make no effort at all, our thoughts usually scatter in a vast array of directions. They start and stop and move in surprising ways from one second to the next. If we try to follow our thoughts without controlling th ...em, we will be amazed at how truly inconsistent they are. Yet, if we apply our minds to a specific task, especially one that interests us, they gather together and allow us to focus our attention, creating great power and energy. This is what is known as pure thought, because it is undistracted.

The law of attraction—like attracts like—influences all energy, including our thoughts, and this is what makes pure thought so potent. Our undistracted thoughts create a powerful magnet that draws similar energy into our vibrational field. As a result, the longer we are able to hold positive thoughts in our minds, the more powerful the positive energy around us becomes. We don’t need to focus on action and controlling so much when we are surrounded by energy that draws what we want toward us. We can simply respond to the opportunities that naturally come our way. When this is the essence of our experience, we can go with the flow, knowing that we will be okay.

If pure thought is a body, it is our emotions that supply the heart that can really bring it to life. Our thoughts and feelings exist in relation to one another, and they form a feedback loop through which they communicate and empower each other. When we hold a thought in our mind without being distracted, we have achieved pure thought. When we have a positive emotional response to that thought, we enable it to dance and move and breathe itself into existence.START WITH THE HEARTtag:saviorsofearth.ning.com,2010-11-22:2492330:BlogPost:3036132010-11-22T17:55:45.000ZGolden_Angel_Khttps://saviorsofearth.ning.com/profile/Golden_Angel_k

...all things are possible. We can smoothly transition into our physical
world without losing a sense of hope when we check in with our heart
center first, before we even get out of bed. Our heart center is the
link between body and spirit, instinct and inspiration. It doesn’t take
long to hold a thought of loving gratitude for the heart that beats
within us. In a mere moment we can review all that we want to accomplish
in the light of love. When we get into the habit of beginning our day
from the heart, all of our activities glow with the infusion of
conscious intent and all interactions are done with compassion.

We can restart our day right now by imagining how love and inspiration
feel. As light glows from our heart center, radiating out through our
bodies into the space around us, any feelings of stress or frustration
seem to melt away. Now, we see each person we encounter as fellow
travelers in the journey of life, and every activity becomes part of a
spiritual partnership. As conscious participants in the cycle of giving
and receiving, we share our light with others as we become enlivened
ourselves, with our heart leading the way.

In the intersection where our body and soul meet, our physical heart
beats in time with the rhythm of the universe. It does the physical work
of supplying our body with life force without our attention, but for
its spiritual work, we need to be conscious. When we concentrate on its
rhythm and glowing light, we remember that we are spiritual beings
having a human experience. Then we know that we can choose any time to
check in with our heart center, and in doing so, experience the joy of
being in love with life.LISTENING TO OUR BODIEStag:saviorsofearth.ning.com,2010-11-22:2492330:BlogPost:3036092010-11-22T17:54:22.000ZGolden_Angel_Khttps://saviorsofearth.ning.com/profile/Golden_Angel_k

...health. But sometimes we get caught up in life’s parade of change and
movement, and things get out of balance. Just as there are seasons in
nature, our bodies go through times of cleansing and times of activity.
Illness is one way our bodies restore the balance they seek, as it
cleanses the buildup of unwanted manifestations of negative energy in
our system. When we are not feeling our best, we can go beyond
addressing the physical symptoms to listen to our bodies as they tell us
the changes needed to restore balance.

Our bodies give us signals, but if we don’t listen when they tell us
that they are tired or stressed, then the imbalance increases and a
stronger message is required, one that is generally expressed by illness
or dis-ease. The first step to regaining equilibrium involves slowing
down, eating healthy food, getting more rest, and taking soothing
remedies. Once we have nurtured ourselves with these things, we can
begin examine our illness for the message. A heavy head may be a sign
that we have been thinking negatively, harboring anger, resentment, or
guilt. A sore throat may be telling us we have been speaking without
integrity—gossip, insults, twisting the truth, or even speaking ill of
ourselves, all of which can knock us off balance. A sore throat and
swollen glands can also mean you are cleansing and processing some
powerful emotions at present. Stomach problems could mean that we are
having trouble accepting or “digesting” something. Only you have the
knowledge of your thoughts and choices that will allow you to decipher
the messages from your body. All it takes is time and attention.

When we take the time to listen to our bodies we can learn how to
restore our balance and improve our lives. By honoring the messages of
our bodies, we can turn a time of illness into a constructive time of
restoration, healing, and revitalization.ENERGY OF A HOMEtag:saviorsofearth.ning.com,2010-11-22:2492330:BlogPost:3036072010-11-22T17:53:14.000ZGolden_Angel_Khttps://saviorsofearth.ning.com/profile/Golden_Angel_k

The Dwelling Pulse

Our homes are filled with energy that we create and allow to flourish.
In many cases, our relationship with the pulse of our homes is passive
...rather than active because we do not pay particular heed to the energy
that has been established. It is only when we regard these spaces as
unique entities that we begin to understand why it is necessary to take
charge of the energy that fills our homes. Stagnant, inharmonious energy
can find its way into our dwellings through many avenues. Previous
occupants, builders, visitors, and the individuals who maintain a home
leave a strong energy imprint behind. Objects and symbols can also have
an effect on the energy of a residence. When we are aware of all that
can influence the energy of our spaces, we are empowered to create
harmonious homes that do more than meet our need for shelter.

Exercising care with regard to who and what we invite into our homes is
one of the easiest ways we can ensure that the energy within remains
loving and supportive. It is not always possible to keep potentially
harmful people and possessions from entering our homes, but we can take
precautions. Individuals can be kept from private spaces like bedrooms
and meditation areas, while property can be purified through cleansing
or smudging. During periods of remodeling or construction, Reiki symbols
and other positive imagery can be printed on surfaces that will later
be covered by walls or flooring. Though hidden, these will continue to
attract good energy and cleanse the existent energy. Blessings can also
be drawn in plain sight, where they remind us of how potently our home's
energy can affect our own.

A home can appear beautiful, comfortable, and stable while still serving
as a dwelling place for negative or otherwise offensive energy. If you
care for your home conscientiously and with great care, you will
instinctively look beyond the surface qualities of your home when
assessing how it feels. Since you actively guard your home against the
intrusion of unwelcome energy, you will have the time and vigor
necessary to cope with it constructively when should it appear in your
midst. The spirit of your spaces will respond to your thoughtful
ministrations, nurturing and supporting you for as long as you choose to
reside within her walls.ANIMALS AS HEALERStag:saviorsofearth.ning.com,2010-11-17:2492330:BlogPost:3020122010-11-17T16:23:12.000ZGolden_Angel_Khttps://saviorsofearth.ning.com/profile/Golden_Angel_k

All pet owners have had, at one time or another, an experience in which
...their pet, whether golden retriever, kitten, horse, or iguana,
recognized their suffering and offered comfort. Animals, both wild and
domesticated, have the ability to sense changes in the body and mind and
can positively influence humans in many ways. They can inspire playful
thoughts in those discouraged and remind us of the need to nurture both
ourselves and others. They can even affect profound physical changes in
humans, by lowering our blood pressure and reducing stress. The gentle
purring of a cat or a friendly nuzzle from a warm lizard can be a form
of healing, and all animals, even those in the wild, are natural
healers.

A house pet can tell you many things, if you observe. Your pet will
choose to sleep in the places in your home that have the best energy
and, when you're ill, may concentrate its attention on the area of your
body that needs healing. Stroking soft fur, a smooth, scaly back, or
downy feathers can enhance memory, shorten recovery time after an
injury, help curb depression, open lines of communication, and even
increase a person's chance of survival after a heart attack. For many
years, schools, nursing homes, and even prisons have let their charges
visit with specially trained animals periodically because a visit with a
pet both calms and cheers people. With the elderly, the love of an
animal can heighten cognitive ability, movement, and quality of life.
Wild animals, too, have their own healing powers. The antics of a silly
squirrel can lift the spirits while the industrious ant is an
inspiration. A chance encounter with a dolphin or manatee can be life
changing.

In mythology, the centaur was the keeper of the art of healing and the
Egyptian god Anubis was the healer of the gods. It is not surprising
that so many people keep pets or enjoy watching animals in nature.
Animals transform us and their unique and beautiful modes of healing are
as natural as they are.COMPULSIVE APOLOGIEStag:saviorsofearth.ning.com,2010-11-17:2492330:BlogPost:3020062010-11-17T16:19:58.000ZGolden_Angel_Khttps://saviorsofearth.ning.com/profile/Golden_Angel_k
The Feeling Underneath
Many people suffer with the tendency to apologize all the time, chronically, for everything. On the one hand, apologizing is a social convention that keeps interactions between people polite, and in that way it can be very helpful. The Feeling Underneath

Many people suffer with the tendency to apologize all the time, chronically, for everything. On the one hand, apologizing is a social convention that keeps interactions between people polite, and in that way it can be very helpful. On the other hand, if we find ourselves apologizing for everything, it might be time to look at why we feel compelled to say "I’m sorry" so often. Ultimately, saying you’re sorry is saying that you are responsible for something that has gone wrong in the situation. Whether it’s negotiating a parking spot, moving through the aisles of the supermarket, or reaching for what you want, there are times when sorry is the right thing to say. But there are other times when "excuse me" is more accurate.

Sometimes saying you’re sorry is like saying that the other person in the equation has more of a right to be here than you do. Of course, it’s true that using the word sorry can simply be an innocuous way of defusing tension. However, if you find that you say sorry all the time, you might want to look a little deeper and see where in your psyche that might be coming from. If it’s a pattern, breaking it may simply take some awareness and practice.

The first step is observing yourself each time you say it, without being hard on yourself about it. Throughout your day simply notice when you apologize. At first, you might be surprised to see that you do it even more than you first realized. After a day or two of simply observing, try to tune in to what it is you are feeling right before you say it. You might be feeling threatened, embarrassed, intensely anxious, or a variety of other feelings. Over time, try to stop yourself before the words come out and just be with the feeling that’s there. You may recognize it as one from your childhood, one that’s been with you for a long time. The more you are able to see it, the freer you will be not to be sorry all the time.ALWAYS BE FOR SOMETHINGtag:saviorsofearth.ning.com,2010-11-17:2492330:BlogPost:3020022010-11-17T16:18:42.000ZGolden_Angel_Khttps://saviorsofearth.ning.com/profile/Golden_Angel_k

Putting Power In Perspective

As human beings, we cannot help but be subject to our preferences. However, we do have control over the manner in which these manifest themselves in our lives. Every value we hold dear is an expression of either ...support or opposition, and it is our perspective that determines whether we are for something or against it. As an example of a situation we are all familiar with at this time: We can direct our energy and intentions into activities that promote peace rather than using our resources to speak out in opposition of war. On the surface, these appear to be two interchangeable methods of expressing one virtue, yet being for something is a vastly more potent means of inspiring change because it carries with it the power of constructive intent.

When you support a cause, whether your support is active or passive, you contribute to the optimism that fuels all affirmative change. Optimistic thoughts energize people, giving them hope and inspiring them to work diligently on behalf of ...what they believe in. Being for something creates a positive shift in the universe, which means that neither you nor those who share your vision will have any trouble believing that transformation on a grand scale is indeed possible. To be against something is typically easy, as you need only speak out in opposition to it. Standing up for something is often more challenging, because you may be introducing an idea to people that may scare them on a soul level.

Throughout your life, you have likely been told that the actions of one person will seldom have a measurable impact on the world. Yet your willingness to stand up for what you believe in instead of decrying what you oppose can turn the tides of fate. The thoughts you project when you choose to adopt a positive perspective will provide you with a means to actively promote your values and, eventually, foster lasting change.
In the recent past, the term women's work has come to have a derogatory
...connotation. Women's work encompasses all the domestic chores that have
historically been associated only with women-cooking, cleaning, and
raising children. Whenever a person is limited to only certain kinds of
work in a society, there is a need to break free from that work in order
to inhabit a place of choice. However, when we choose to do women's
work because we enjoy it, there is nothing degrading about it. There is
an honour to it, and when done alone or in a group this work can be
truly meaningful and fulfilling because the home is the foundation of
security for all who live in it. The importance of tending the hearth
that nurtures all who bask in its warmth cannot be overstated.

In addition to being essential to the functioning of the world, women's
work offers creative fulfillment, intimate interaction, and personal
satisfaction. The more we become aware of the significance of this realm
of labor, the more fulfilling it will be to those who do the work and
those who benefit from it. A well-set table and a delicious, healthy
meal can heal us on multiple levels. Clean, crisp sheets on a bed allow
us to enter a deep slumber, inspiring a sense of safety and trust. Our
mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual health all rest upon the
smooth functioning of our homes.

The gift of women's work, which still often comes from the hands of
women, now also comes from fathers, husbands, and hired help. Whatever
the source, our sincere gratitude upon receiving these treasures reminds
us of the profound value of what is traditionally known as women's
work. The more we acknowledge the tremendous importance of this work,
the more we are able to do it with a sense of pride, never feeling for a
moment that our efforts are less significant or meaningful than those
working outside the home-on the contrary, it is this work that makes all
other work possible.BEING ALONEtag:saviorsofearth.ning.com,2010-11-15:2492330:BlogPost:3013532010-11-15T15:56:49.000ZGolden_Angel_Khttps://saviorsofearth.ning.com/profile/Golden_Angel_k

A Relationship With Self

The most important relationship we have in our lives is with our selves. And even though we are the only ones who are present at every moment of our lives—from birth onward—this relationship can be the most difficult one to cultivate. This may be because society places such emphasis on the importance of being in a romantic partnership, even teaching us to set aside our own needs for the needs of another. Until we know ourselves, however, we cannot possibly choose the right relationship to support our mutual growth toward our highest potential. By allowing ourselves to be comfortable with being alone, we can become the people with whom we want to have a relationship.

Perhaps at no other time in history has it been possible for people to survive, and even thrive, while living alone. We can now support ourselves financially, socially, and emotionally without needing a spouse for survival in any of these realms. With this freedom, we can pursue our own interests and create fulfilling partnerships with friends, business partners, creative cohorts, and neighbors. Once we’ve satisfied our needs and created our support system, a mate then becomes someone with whom we can share the bounty of all we’ve created and the beauty we’ve discovered within ourselves.

As we move away from tradition and fall into more natural cycles of being in the world today, we may find that there are times where being alone nourishes us and other periods in which a partnership is best for our growth. We may need to learn to create spaces to be alone within relationships. When we can shift our expectations of our relationships with ourselves and others to opportunities for discovery, we open ourselves to forge new paths and encounter uncharted territory. Being willing to know and love ourselves, and to find what truly makes us feel deeply and strongly, gives us the advantage of being able to attract and choose the right people with whom to share ourselves, whether those relationships fall into recognizable roles or not. Choosing to enjoy being alone allows us to fully explore our most important relationship—the one with our true selves.YOU ARE BEAUTIFULtag:saviorsofearth.ning.com,2010-11-15:2492330:BlogPost:3013512010-11-15T15:55:34.000ZGolden_Angel_Khttps://saviorsofearth.ning.com/profile/Golden_Angel_k

Seeing Ourselves

Many of us do not take the time to notice and acknowledge how beautiful we are as humans. We may be great lovers of beauty, seeing it in the people, places, and things around us, while completely missing it in ourselves. Some of us feel that it is vain to consider our appearance too much, or we may find that when we look at ourselves, all we see are imperfections. Often we come to the mirror with expectations and preconceived notions about beauty that blind us from seeing ourselves clearly. As a result, we miss the beauty that is closest to us, the beauty we are. Sometimes we see our beauty in a shallow way, noticing how well we are conforming to social norms, but failing to see the deeper beauty that shines out from within and that will continue to shine regardless of how we measure up to society’s ideal.

If we can cut through all these obstacles and simply appreciate how beautiful we are, we free up so much energy. We also become less dependent upon the opinions and feedback of others since we become our own greatest admirers. Many of us know that after a great yoga practice or a long, deep meditation, we are more able to see how beautiful we are. This is because we have released some of our baggage, thus unburdening ourselves and summoning forth the spirit that dwells within us. It is the heady combination of the divine spirit and the human body that conveys beauty more accurately than anything else.

To keep ourselves in touch with our own beauty, we can surround ourselves with images that reflect our beauty back to us—photos of a relative or child who has our eyes, images of teachers who embody spirit, or self-portraits that capture our essence in a way that allows us to see ourselves anew. The best way to keep ourselves in touch with our own beauty is to keep looking deeply into our own souls and opening our eyes to the human being we see in the mirror every day.GETTING RUN DOWNtag:saviorsofearth.ning.com,2010-11-15:2492330:BlogPost:3013492010-11-15T15:54:16.000ZGolden_Angel_Khttps://saviorsofearth.ning.com/profile/Golden_Angel_k

Our natural state of being is vibrant, happy to be alive. Yet, there can be times when we feel run down and worn out. This does not mean that we are lazy or unfit for the tasks in our lives; it means that we need to recharge our batteries and find a way of keeping them charged. Vitamins and extra rest can be very helpful in restoring our physical bodies. And if we are willing to delve deeper, we may discover that there is an underlying cause for our exhaustion.

Whenever you are feeling run down, take an honest look at how you have been thinking, feeling and acting. You will likely find a belief, behavior pattern or even a relationship that is out of alignment with who you really are. Perhaps you believe you have to be perfect at everything or you have been bending over backwards to get people to like you. Maybe you are dealing with mild depression or simply have too much on your plate right now. There may also be people or situations in your life which are draining your energy. Once you get clear on the root cause, you can weed it out and better direct your flow of energy in the future.

In time, you might notice that the reasons you feel run down have less to do with how much you are doing and more to do with the fact that in your heart, you would rather be doing something else entirely. From now on, try and listen to what your heart really wants. It may take meditation, or just a moment of silent tuning in to gain the clarity you need, but it is well worth the effort. When you know what you truly want to do, and honour that in all situations, you will find that getting run down is a thing of the past.HOME IS WHERE THE HEART IStag:saviorsofearth.ning.com,2010-11-15:2492330:BlogPost:3013472010-11-15T15:52:46.000ZGolden_Angel_Khttps://saviorsofearth.ning.com/profile/Golden_Angel_k

The word “home” has a wide variety of connotations. To some, home is merely a place where basic needs are addressed. To others, home is the foundation from which they draw their strength and tranquility. Still, others view home as a place inexorably linked to family. Yet all these definitions of home imply somewhere we can be ourselves and are totally accepted. There, we feel safe enough to let down our guard, peaceful enough to really relax, and loved enough to want to return day after day. However, these qualities need not be linked to a single space or any space at all. Home is where the heart is and can be the locale you live in, a community you once lived in, or the country where you plan to live someday. Or home can be a feeling you carry inside yourself, wherever you are.

The process of evolution can require you to undergo transformations that uproot you. Moving from place to place can seem to literally divide you from the foundations you have come to depend on. Since your home is so intimately tied to the memories that define you, you may feel that you are losing a vital part of yourself when you leave behind your previous house, city, state, or country. And as it may take some time before you fashion new memories, you may feel homeless even after settling into your new abode. To carry your home with you, you need only become your own foundation. Doing so is merely a matter of staying grounded and centered, and recognizing that the pleasures you enjoyed in one place will still touch your heart in another if you allow them.

Your home can be any space or state of being that fulfills you, provided you are at peace with yourself and your surroundings. A person can feel like home to you, as can seasons and activities. If you feel disconnected from what you once thought of as home, your detachment may be a signal that you are ready to move one. Simply put, you will know you have found your home when both your physical environment and energetic surroundings are in harmony with the individual you are within.CALLING ON FRIENDStag:saviorsofearth.ning.com,2010-11-15:2492330:BlogPost:3013452010-11-15T15:50:55.000ZGolden_Angel_Khttps://saviorsofearth.ning.com/profile/Golden_Angel_k

When we are going through a difficult time, we may hesitate to call even our best friends because we don’t want to burden them with our troubles. This can be especially true if we’ve been going through a series of challenges, and we’re starting to feel as if we sound like a broken record. It is important to remember that at times like these our friends sincerely want to be there for us whenever they can. We can always check with them to make sure it’s a good time for them before we start talking, and if it’s not a good time, we can call back at another time, or call another friend.

We know for ourselves that when we have a good friend, we don’t want them to suffer alone when we are just a phone call away. We want them to call us and share their sorrows with us, as well as their joys, because this is what sharing a life through friendship is about. It is at our lowest points that we really need to rely on our friends without worrying that we are a burden. If you are feeling self-conscious about having a tough time, you can bring this fact into the conversation by acknowledging it. Chances are your friend will reassure you that she is happy to be there for you. In fact, rather than feeling taxed, most of us feel better when we have helped a friend simply by listening empathically while they share their feelings.

Without our friends, we would be hard pressed to get through the tough times and celebrate the good ones. If we leave our friends out of our process when the going gets tough, our friendships can begin to feel shallow. On the other hand, when we include our friends in the full story of our life—the good, the bad, and the ugly—we build authentic relationships in which we can be who we truly are. When we do this, we invite our friends to bring their whole selves to the relationship as well.GENEROSITYtag:saviorsofearth.ning.com,2010-11-11:2492330:BlogPost:2999052010-11-11T15:46:25.000ZGolden_Angel_Khttps://saviorsofearth.ning.com/profile/Golden_Angel_k

Giving To Receive

The most difficult time to be generous is when we ourselves are feeling poor. While some of us have experienced actually being in the red financially, there are those of us who would feel broke even if we had a million dollars in the bank. Either way, as the old adage goes, it is always in giving that we receive. Meaning that when we are living in a state of lack, the very gesture we may least want to give is the very act that could help us create the abundance that we seek. One way to practice generosity is to give energy where it is needed. Giving money to a cause or person in need is one way to give energy. Giving attention, love, or a smile to another person are other acts of giving that we can offer. After all, there are people all over the world that are hungry for love.

Sometimes when we practice generosity, we practice it conditionally. We might be expecting to "receive back" from the person to whom we gave. We might even become angry or resentful if that person doesn't reciprocate. However, trust in the natural flow of energy, and you will find yourself practicing generosity with no strings attached. This is the purest form of giving. Remember that what you send out will always come back you. Selflessly help a friend in need without expecting them to return the same favor in the same way, and know that you, too, will receive that support from the universe when you need it. Besides, while giving conditionally creates stress (because we are waiting with an invisible balance sheet to receive our due), giving unconditionally creates and generates abundance. We give freely, because we trust that there is always an unlimited supply.

Being aware of how much we are always supported by the universe is one of the keys to abundance and generosity. Consciously remember the times you've received support from expected and unexpected sources. Remember anyone who has helped you when you've needed it most, and bless all situations that come into your life for the lessons and gifts they bring you. Remember that all things given and received emanate from generosity. Giving is an act of gratitude. Plant the seeds of generosity through your acts of giving, and you will grow the fruits of abundance for yourself and those around you.LIFE IS BEAUTY...tag:saviorsofearth.ning.com,2010-11-11:2492330:BlogPost:2999032010-11-11T15:44:56.000ZGolden_Angel_Khttps://saviorsofearth.ning.com/profile/Golden_Angel_k

Your manifestation work is going wonderfully well. You're encouraged to take the process to an even higher level by going on a 'negativity diet'. This means avoiding negative influences as much as possible. Avoid negative discussions with yourself or others. Turn off television and radio programs with negative themes, and stay away from violent movies. Don't read pessimistic headlines and steer clear of gossip-based magazines. This negativity diet slow down the manifestation of your dreams - or prevent them from coming true at all.

Affirm daily:" I am surrounded by positive, loving and peaceful energy and situations at all times."

Another thing you can do is to apply Feng Shui, the ancient Chinese art of placement, to your physical environment, which will help enhance the positive energy in all of your surroundings. You're also asked to donate or sell items that are cluttering your home. This helps you bring in new energy and opportunity, and will also establish an environment that promotes creativity, health, and abundance.JOY IS A PIE WHICH TASTES EVEN BETTER...tag:saviorsofearth.ning.com,2010-11-11:2492330:BlogPost:2998882010-11-11T15:41:51.000ZGolden_Angel_Khttps://saviorsofearth.ning.com/profile/Golden_Angel_k

... when shared. Is that saying true do you think? That's not to say that one cannot be joyful when alone - certainly not. I love spending time alone and finding joy in nature, life and the world around me. But think about it for a second, when someone tells you a joke that you find really funny, do you keep that joke to yourself or do you really enjoy telling it to others and seeing them enjoy it too?

It's like most things in life, we can really enjoy experiences alone, but we also get a real buzz from sharing them with other people. When my clients come to see me, I really enjoy hearing about how they've moved forward, or dissolved a fear, or faced a challenge. It's great to see the joy on their faces reflecting my own. You can see that they feel good having shared their experience with someone else. Someone who appreciates them and shares in that joy. So whilst they may also feel more validated and good about life, they also feel good about putting a smile on somebody else's face.

Now the thing to be careful about, of course, is that you don't become so obsessed with sharing your joyful experiences with others that they don't get a chance to share their own! Remember, joy is a pie better shared and that means allowing others to have their piece of it too!

The other thing to remember as well is that sometimes, sharing something joyful that's happening to us, can really help to lift someone else who may not be having such a good time. Sharing your happiness (and the vibration of joy) can be just the right catalyst to help someone else lift themself up and begin to move forward again.

Have a joyful week, month, year, (and life!), and don't forget to share your joy with others without fear of seeming bigheaded. Remember to listen and share in others' joy too as their experience could be the happy potatoes to go with your fun pie. The more joy and happiness there is in the world, the nicer place it is to be for us all to live in. Let's raise the joy vibration just a bit more!
Giving Life A Trim

Between the rivers of urban traffic and the cool streams of nirvana is a middle ground.

More is expected of us than ever before. Within the home, each person takes on multiple roles that were once spread out through the extended family - homemaker, breadwinner, parent, cook, head of household - stretching an individual to his or her limits. When stress reaches unbearable levels, we may entertain ideas of chucking it all and running off to Walden Pond or a Himalayan mountaintop where "wireless" means nothing to wire and the only cells are those that nature provided in the birds and the bees. This impulse to flee a changing world is nothing new, sages of the past from Plato to Confucius, have advised about returning to simplicity.

By taking a good look at one's lifestyle and the conflicts that have arisen through one's habits, some important but subtle shifts can be made that bring about a more simplified life. The repercussions making these changes extend from one's inner spiritual life to interpersonal relationships to the global environment.

Spending a few minutes calming the mind and taking note of one's emotions helps slow down complicated thinking that often creates negative reactions. Even trying for a few seconds a day - stopping and looking at how your mind is racing, judging, conceptualizing - and noticing the noise it creates, is a great beginning. Eventually seconds may become minutes and the chain reaction begins. By developing inner quiet and compassion, one's relationships become less stormy. Making economic changes, introducing skillful management and reducing one's cravings, slows down the frenzied cycle of consumption. In turn, consuming less means living lighter on the land which creates a balance in your environment both immediate and far reaching.

Sometimes trees need pruning in order to continue blossoming. Find the heavy boughs that are weighing down your life and give yourself a healthy trim, We cannot stop evolutionary and societal change, but if we are in complete control to change ourselves and when we do this, our relationship to everything around us begins to change.THOUGHT FOR TODAYtag:saviorsofearth.ning.com,2010-11-11:2492330:BlogPost:2998962010-11-11T15:30:00.000ZGolden_Angel_Khttps://saviorsofearth.ning.com/profile/Golden_Angel_k

We are a family, children of the Universe. There are many perceptions of the many realities which overlap one another. As we open up to the views and thought processes of others without judgment, we receive the opportunity to grow and help others to grow. As you open yourself up to the philosophies and tools of others, you may find a new way to reach the end of your own journey.
I guarantee you will remember the tale of the Wooden Bowl
tomorrow, a week from now, a month from now, a year from now.

A frail old man went to live with his son, daughter-in-law, and four-year - old grandson.
The old man's hands trembled, his eyesight was blurred, and his step faltered.

The family ate together at the table. But the elderly grandfather's shaky hands and failing sight made eating difficult.
Peas rolled off his spoon onto the floor.
When he grasped the glass, milk spilled on the tablecloth.

The son and daughter-in-law became irritated with the mess.
'We must do something about father,' said the son.
'I've had enough of his spilled milk, noisy eating, and food on the floor.'

So the husband and wife set a small table in the corner.
There, Grandfather ate alone while the rest of the family enjoyed dinner.
Since Grandfather had broken a dish or two, his food was served in a wooden bowl.

When the family glanced in Grandfather's direction, sometimes he had a tear in his eye as he sat alone.
Still, the only words the couple had for him were sharp admonitions when he dropped a fork or spilled food.

The four-year-old watched it all in silence.

One evening before supper, the father noticed his son playing with wood scraps on the floor.
He asked the child sweetly, 'What are you making?' Just as sweetly, the boy responded,
'Oh, I am making a little bowl for you and Mama to eat your food in when I grow up.
' The four-year-old smiled and went back to work.

The words so struck the parents so that they were speechless.
Then tears started to stream down their cheeks.
Though no word was spoken, both knew what must be done.

That evening the husband took Grandfather's hand and gently led him back to the family table.
For the remainder of his days he ate every meal with the family. And for some reason, neither husband nor wife seemed to care any longer when a fork was dropped, milk spilled, or the tablecloth soiled.

On a positive note, I've learned that, no matter what happens,
how bad it seems today, life does go on, and it will be better tomorrow.

I've learned that you can tell a lot about a person by the way he/she handles four things:
a rainy day, the elderly, lost luggage, and tangled Christmas tree lights.

I've learned that, regardless of your relationship with your parents,
you'll miss them when they're gone from your life.

I've learned that making a 'living' is not the same thing as making a 'life..'

I've learned that life sometimes gives you a second chance.

I've learned that you shouldn't go through life with a catcher's mitt on both hands.
You need to be able to throw something back

I've learned that if you pursue happiness, it will elude you
But, if you focus on your family, your friends, the needs of others,
your work and doing the very best you can, happiness will find you

I've learned that whenever I decide something with an open heart, I usually make the right decision.

I've learned that even when I have pains, I don't have to be one.

I've learned that every day, you should reach out and touch someone.

People love that human touch -- holding hands, a warm hug, or just a friendly pat on the back.

I've learned that I still have a lot to learn.HEALING CHANTtag:saviorsofearth.ning.com,2010-11-08:2492330:BlogPost:2985512010-11-08T18:17:50.000ZGolden_Angel_Khttps://saviorsofearth.ning.com/profile/Golden_Angel_k

To grow spiritually and understand our place within the universe is to seek meaning and understanding. Irrespective of whether we think that life’s path here on Earth is pre-determined or even self-directed by the power of thought... To grow in spirit and to be at one with the universe is to understand and accept, that we do not simply 'exist' - for there is more to life than at first we perceived there to be.
When we enter this World, we know…
To grow spiritually and understand our place within the universe is to seek meaning and understanding. Irrespective of whether we think that life’s path here on Earth is pre-determined or even self-directed by the power of thought... To grow in spirit and to be at one with the universe is to understand and accept, that we do not simply 'exist' - for there is more to life than at first we perceived there to be.

When we enter this World, we know nothing of the meanings of our lives... But as the days pass, and with each rising and setting of the sun, we gain both wisdom and knowledge. Through our interactions together we develop a sense of purpose and worth. Then, slowly, but surely, we begin to realise that each and everyone one of us, does indeed have a purpose. A goal to achieve... a destination to reach... And with each new dawn, our 'actions' and ultimately our 'reactions' to the situations we find ourselves in. Even our physical interaction together, our emotional contact, our intellectual approaches to the challenges of life... All of them - bring us one step closer, to achieving our goals, reaching our destination and eventually - understanding the true 'meaning' of the lives we are to lead.

For us each of us to grow spiritually, we must initially recognise and acknowledge our interconnections, not just with each other, but with the entire World of which we inhabit. By recognising these connections with all that is around us, including how we interact, both individually and 'collectively'. The more modest, respectful of each other, the animal kingdom even the wonders of Mother Nature, we become. For as we appreciate the value of everything of which we are an integral part, we find ourselves moved and inspired. We begin to step out from behind our comfort zones and reach out towards others, slowly, but surely becoming caretakers, participants and integral elements of all that is around us, all that is connected to us - the World... in which we reside.

Striking a balance between the material, spiritual and universal aspects of our lives - is not as difficult as we initially think! We simply need to look inwardly, examine and reflect on your thoughts, our beliefs, and feelings, even the things that motivate us the most in life! Then examine how 'we' engage with others and all that is interconnected to us, perhaps even directing our thoughts to considering the abandonment of some of the less likeable traits we have all allowed to develop within us. Re-aligning our goals, relationships and stepping forward into a new day - a new era where spiritual growth and universal enlightenment is bounty full.... Where each one of us has a goal - a direction and purpose...YOUR MORNING CUP OF INSPIRATIONtag:saviorsofearth.ning.com,2010-11-08:2492330:BlogPost:2985472010-11-08T18:15:15.000ZGolden_Angel_Khttps://saviorsofearth.ning.com/profile/Golden_Angel_k

the water and the leaves flowing around and past the rock. The
