24 May 2003, Dutch newspaper the Volkskrant "Peeping in secret at quantum".
Color photo of an interferention pattern of a laser beam behind a screen with two chinks (the so-called two chinks experiment of quantum mechanics). In Quantum physics, each time scientists had observed an experiment, the outcome turned out to be influenced, merely by the observation itself. The image of the heart appeared in a study in which supposedly the observation of the scientists could not influence the outcome through observation.
The fact that the picture/pattern came out to be a heart, the universal symbol of love is quite amazing considering it should have just appeared as a random pattern (since the scientists supposedly could NOT affect the outcome)... therefore the title of the article "Peeping in at Quantum" ... seems to me to be implying "who or what is 'peeping in' at the scientists viewing the results of the experiment?"
